Corrections policy

Material errors are corrected in the page, not buried in a workflow.

A correction matters when it changes a specification, calculation, safety limitation, product ranking, recommendation, source interpretation, or other decision-relevant statement.

What qualifies as a material correction

Material corrections include wrong units, wrong product variants, outdated electrical limits, misread manuals, incorrect formulas, broken source attribution, or guidance that could change a buying or safety decision.

Spelling, grammar, formatting, and link repairs that do not change meaning are maintained without a formal correction notice.

How a report is reviewed

Reports that rely only on a retailer summary or search snippet do not override a current official manual. They can still trigger a fresh source review.

  1. Identify the exact page and disputed statement.
  2. Compare the statement with the cited source and the current official record.
  3. Preserve conflicting evidence instead of overwriting it silently.
  4. Correct the visible page, structured data, internal comparisons, and calculation fixtures when affected.
  5. Update the modified date and add a material correction note when the decision changed.
