Evidence hierarchy
Official manuals, current manufacturer specifications, government datasets, government safety guidance, and model-specific support documents receive priority. Retailer summaries, snippets, forums, and unsourced wattage lists are not used to resolve critical product fields.
Every material value keeps its source, unit, retrieval date, verification date, and any limitation needed to interpret it. Conflicting observations are preserved until the difference is resolved.
Claim labels and calculations
Manufacturer claims, calculated estimates, planning assumptions, and measured observations are different evidence classes. They are not blended. A published surge figure remains a manufacturer claim unless independently measured under a documented protocol.
The shared calculation library handles usable capacity, AC efficiency, duty cycle, standby draw, reserve, environmental adjustment, running demand, and startup checks. Essential inputs are visible wherever a result is published.
How products earn a ranking
Voltage, connector, continuous output, and startup evidence are checked before runtime or price. The remaining products are separated by the actual buying constraint, such as carrying weight, solar recovery, expansion, output headroom, or direct cost per rated watt-hour.
No company can purchase a winner position. A product with incomplete critical evidence is not padded into a roundup to make the article appear larger.
Safety and high-consequence topics
Medical backup, combustion appliances, pumps, hardwired equipment, food safety, and transfer equipment receive explicit limitations. The site avoids universal promises where device settings, water inflow, motor design, wiring, or environmental conditions can reverse the answer.
Updates and corrections
Product records are rechecked when a source changes, a discrepancy is reported, or a scheduled review comes due. A modified date changes only when the underlying evidence, calculation, recommendation, or material explanation changes.
Material factual errors are corrected promptly and recorded under the corrections policy. Typographic changes that do not alter meaning are not listed as material corrections.
