Calculation methodology

Transparent calculations, separate compatibility decisions.

A large battery can still be incompatible with an appliance. Runtime is calculated only after output, surge, voltage, current, and connector requirements are checked.

Runtime estimate

usable Wh = rated Wh × usable-capacity fraction × environmental factor
average load W = running W × duty cycle + standby W × off-cycle share
AC runtime hours = usable Wh × inverter efficiency ÷ average load W

DC and USB estimates omit AC inverter efficiency and apply the documented conversion-path efficiency when known. Unknown factors use a disclosed default and are never presented as measured results.

Compatibility sequence

Continuous output

Pass when the station output at the required connector and voltage meets or exceeds the appliance running load.

Starting surge

Pass when documented surge output and allowed duration meet the appliance starting demand and duration.

Energy capacity

Estimate runtime from usable energy after conversion and environmental losses, divided by average load.

Connector fit

Confirm AC, regulated DC, USB-C, USB-A, or vehicle output plus voltage and current requirements.

Solar recharge

Cap expected array production at the station input voltage, current, and watt limits before charging losses.
