Our answer
On our planning profile the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus runs an electric space heater for about 1.8 hours, or 1.4 hours if you keep a reserve back.
The checks behind this answer
Stored energy is the final check, not the first. Voltage, continuous output, and startup demand must clear before runtime means anything. Missing published evidence stays marked unverified instead of being treated as a pass.
| Check | Result | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage | Clears | An electric space heater runs on 120V and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus supplies 120V AC. |
| Continuous output | Clears | A 1500W running load sits inside the 3,000W continuous rating, leaving about 100% headroom. |
| Startup demand | Clears | The 1,500W start is covered by continuous output alone, so no surge rating is needed. |
How the number is built
A battery holds back some of its rated capacity, and converting to household AC costs more on top. Of the 2,048Wh rated here, roughly 1,622Wh reaches the outlet under a conservative planning model.
That energy meets an average load of 900.4W, which applies a 60% duty cycle to a 1500W running draw. Holding back a 20% reserve for battery age, cold, and a longer outage leaves 1.4 hours. These are calculations, not measurements from a test.
Before you rely on this
These limits decide whether this appliance belongs on a portable battery at all.
- Electric resistance heating is the least efficient possible use of stored battery energy. If heat is the goal in an outage, a fuel-burning appliance with a small electrical load is usually the better plan.
Replace our assumptions with your own
There is very little variation to find. A 1,500W heater draws 1,500W on high, and that is exactly why it is such a poor match for battery backup: a 1kWh station runs one for well under an hour.
Read the wattage printed on the heater. Resistive heaters draw what they say they draw.
