Our answer
On our planning profile the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 runs a gas furnace blower for about 3.3 hours, or 2.6 hours if you keep a reserve back.
The checks behind this answer
Stored energy is the final check, not the first. Voltage, continuous output, and startup demand must clear before runtime means anything. Missing published evidence stays marked unverified instead of being treated as a pass.
| Check | Result | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage | Clears | A gas furnace blower runs on 120V and the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 supplies 120V AC. |
| Continuous output | Clears | A 600W running load sits inside the 2,000W continuous rating, leaving about 233% headroom. |
| Startup demand | Clears | The 2,000W start is covered by continuous output alone, so no surge rating is needed. |
How the number is built
A battery holds back some of its rated capacity, and converting to household AC costs more on top. Of the 1,024Wh rated here, roughly 811Wh reaches the outlet under a conservative planning model.
That energy meets an average load of 246W, which applies a 40% duty cycle to a 600W running draw. Holding back a 20% reserve for battery age, cold, and a longer outage leaves 2.6 hours. These are calculations, not measurements from a test.
Before you rely on this
These limits decide whether this appliance belongs on a portable battery at all.
- A furnace is normally hardwired. Powering one from a portable station safely requires a transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician.
- Do not backfeed a portable station into house wiring through an outlet. It is dangerous and unlawful.
- A gas furnace still needs its combustion and venting safety systems working correctly. Backup power does not change that.
Replace our assumptions with your own
Motor type is the dividing line. An electronically commutated motor may run on a few hundred watts, while an older permanent split capacitor blower can draw several times that and start harder.
The furnace data plate lists the blower motor rating. An HVAC technician can read actual running and starting current at the unit.
