This screen does not certify voltage, connector, surge duration, wiring, or equipment approval. A product with no separate peak rating is not rejected automatically, but its startup evidence remains unresolved.

Rated capacity has to absorb loss and reserve

Daily load energy equals average active watts multiplied by operating hours. The wizard multiplies that energy by the number of days without recharge, adds the selected reserve, and divides by conversion efficiency. The result is a minimum rated battery target, not a promise of delivered AC energy.

Reserve protects the plan from longer outages, warmer conditions, battery aging, and ordinary input uncertainty. Conversion efficiency accounts for energy lost between the battery and the connected load. A cycling appliance needs an average active load that already reflects its duty cycle.

Capacity cannot solve an output mismatch

A large battery can still have the wrong voltage, connector, waveform, continuous output, or startup behavior. The product screen checks capacity and continuous output, while a separately published peak can screen starting demand. Missing peak evidence stays unresolved rather than receiving a false pass.
